Some tips for your arrival at Rotterdam
If you want to come by car, please pay attention that parking can be expensive. But this year we have a nice solution : Free parking at the meeting point! We recommend that you park nearby the meeting point and use public transports (subways and trams) during the 2 days. Rotterdam has a really good infrastructure and this year you are free to use public transport during the game.

For angler living in Germany:
The area which is described in the map includes only free and open waters of the city of Hamburg. According to the Hamburg regulations, a fisherman from Germany with a valid fishing license does NOT need an additional permit card for fishing at the designated waters. So be sure that you gonna take your VALID fishing license with you.
For angler not living in Germany:
First of all you need to buy a „tourist license“ to go fishing in the city. It costs per person 35 € and will be valid for one year. Please find the contact information below this text. Make sure that you arrive latest on Friday (29th June) and agree with mail or a call (contact person Mr. Liebetanz-Vahldiek speaks fluently English) a time for your visit before. It is necessary to go PERSONALLY to the fisheries authority (online not possible) and pay the charge/fee in CASH. You just need to take your VALID FISHING LICENSE and your ID CARD for verification with you. You can also send copies of both documents via mail to Mr. Liebetanz-Vahldiek before. So he can check if everything is fine. Please use easily as mail subject „GUNKI Iron Tournament“.

Following some tips for your arrival at Hamburg. if you want to come by car, please pay attention that parking is really expensive there (normally 7€ per hour at the official parking places in the central area) and mostly full, with many one-way streets all over. We recommend that you gonna park directly at your hotel or nearby the meeting point and use for all other things the public means of transport (subways and trams). Hamburg has a really good infrastructure – all 2 minutes arrival and departure in the different directions. Wherever you are in the city, you can simply enter your station and the goal you want to go here:

Angellizenz Hamburg zum GUNKI IRON TOURNAMENT 2018
Für in Deutschland lebende Angler:
Der in der Karte beschriebene Bereich beinhaltet ausschließlich freie und öffentliche Gewässer der Stadt Hamburg. Gemäß der lokalen Gesetzmäßigkeiten braucht ein Angler mit GÜLTIGEM FISCHERSCHEIN aus Deutschland KEINE zusätzliche Erlaubniskarte. Also sichert euch bitte unbedingt ab, dass Ihr euren Fischereischein mit dabei habt.
Für nicht in Deutschland lebende Angler:
Ihr müsst als Erstes einen „“Touristen-Fischereischein“ erwerben, um in der Stadt angeln zu können. Dieser kostet 35 € pro Person und ist für ein Jahr gültig. Unter diesem Text findet Ihr die genauen Kontaktdaten. Beachtet als bitte, dass Ihr spätestens am Freitag (29. Juni) anreist und vorab einen Termin via Mail oder Telefon vereinbart. Es ist wichtig, dass Ihr PERSÖNLICH bei der Fischereibehörde vorbeikommt (online ist die Bestellung nicht möglich) und die Gebühr IN BAR bezahlt. Als Dokumente benötigt Ihr lediglich einen GÜLTIGEN FISCHEREISCHEIN und euren PERSONALAUSWEIS. Sendet am besten beides vorab als Mail an Herrn Liebetanz-Vahldiek. So kann er bereits prüfen, ob alles OK ist. Bitte nutzt als Betreff einfach „GUNKI Iron Tournament“.

Parkmöglichkeiten und Hotels – Anreise mit Auto oder Zug
Nachfolgend ein paar Tipps für eure Ankunft in Hamburg. Wenn Ihr mit dem Auto anreisen wollt, dann solltet Ihr Folgendes beachten: das Parken in der Innenstadt ist sehr teuer (durchschnittlich 7 € je Stunde im Stadtzentrum) und meisten voll belegt. Zudem gibt es in der Hansestadt sehr viele Einbahnstraßen, die das Zurechtfinden erschweren. Wir empfehlen daher, dass Ihr direkt bei eurer Unterkunft oder am Meeting Point parkt und alles Weitere mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erledigt (U- und S-Bahn). Hamburg verfügt hier über eine sehr gute Infrastruktur – alle 2 Minuten ist in der Regel eine An- und Abfahrt in die unterschiedliche Richtungen. Wo auch immer Ihr gerade seid, gebt einfach eure Station und das gewünschte Ziel hier ein:
